Function & Applications:
Sinocure® 819 can be used in printing inks and prepreg systems for wood, metal, plastic, paper and optical fiber surfaces. In white coatings, colored coatings and inks containing titanium dioxide or other high hiding pigments, adding a small amount of Sinocure® 819 can make the coating have excellent curing effect and UV yellowing resistance. Due to its excellent absorption properties, Sinocure® 819 can be used in thick film systems.
Sinocure® 819 can be used in combination with other photoinitiators, such as Sinocure® 184 or Sinocure® 651. The combination of Sinocure® 819 and Sinocure® 651 is particularly suitable for curing polyester/styrene resin systems, such as glass fiber reinforced materials.
Due to its absorption in the long wavelength band, Sinocure® 819 can be used in combination with UV absorbers (such as Sinosorb® 400) and can therefore be used in UV-curable coatings that require weather resistance.
Reference dosage:
▶Clear acrylic and unsaturated polyester/styrene coatings |
0.1- 0.2% 819 + 1-2% 184 |
▶White acrylic and unsaturated polyester/styrene coatings |
0.5-1% 819 + 1-2% 184 |
▶Colored acrylic formulations |
0.5-1% 819 + 1-2% 184 |
▶White screen printing inks |
0.5-1.5% 819 + 1-2% 184 |
