• AgeSin® AP-L3168 has good miscibility with most common emulsion compounds such as water-based epoxy, water-based acrylic, water-based polyurethane, etc.; it can react between the resin and the substrate or inorganic filler to form a chemical bond with strong affinity, thereby improving the resistance to glass , aluminum alloy, galvanized sheet, stainless steel, plastic and other substrates that are difficult to adhere to. It can also be used as an anti-inflation and anti-falling surface treatment agent for zinc powder, aluminum silver paste and other metal pigments.
• AgeSin® AP-L3168 can graft and modify the carboxyl groups contained in the resin at room temperature, and can also open rings during the curing process to give the polymer an additional 1K cross-linking reaction. Using this principle of silane modification of resin and increasing polymer cross-linking density can significantly improve the drying speed, hardness, gloss, boiling resistance, salt spray resistance, acid and alkali resistance and other properties of the paint film.

Incorporation:

Please test the optimal dosage, compatibility with resin and storage stability before use. The generally recommended dosage is 1 to 3% of the resin content.

• Resin pre-grafting modification method: Since inorganic pigments and fillers will participate in the reaction and rob the effective ingredients of the additive, and the grafting reaction between AP-L3168 and resin requires a certain induction period,when used in high-pigment and filler systems such as colored paints and matte paints, AP-L3168 can be fully mixed with the resin together with the co-solvent in the formula and then left to stand for more than 48 hours.Let AP-L3168 and resin fully complete the grafting reaction and then use it as a graft-modified resin.
• It can also be added directly during the paint making process, but it also needs to be tested after 48 hours before making a board.
• Used for surface treatment of powders and metallic pigments. It can be diluted with ethanol and react directly with powders or inorganic materials.
